Scott and Kara Holmes

(Senior Pastors)

For over 3 decades, Scott and Kara have poured their lives into missions, ministry and the medical field. Before coming to Life Church in June, 2000, they served in the Marshall Islands (Micronesia), teaching, planting churches and raising leaders. They then relocated to Barnaul, Russia (Siberia) as they continued to develop their cross-cultural skills, planting churches and training leaders. In addition to multiple degrees in science and theology, Scott is completing his dissertation for his first doctorate degree. He is a mentor and a coach to leaders, particularly all over the Altai region of Siberia. Scott and Kara were married in 1981, have two children: Joshua and Brittany

Barbara Lewis

(Administrator)

I have worked at life church sense 2003. Prior to that I worked in the medical field for about six years. My husband Joe Lewis and I have been married sense September 25th 1993. We have two sons Joseph who was born September 30th 1994 and Jordan who was born February 7th 1999. We enjoy being a part of the ministry at Life Church and and are looking forward to all that God has set for us in the future. We have worked in children's ministry, attended youth camps, assisted with men's and women's ministry events. We love the fact that Life Church is OUR FAMILY and are blessed to call Life Church our Home.

Eddie Rivera

(Associate Pastor / Media)

Eddie brings the spice… He is a Puerto Rican born in New York! He made is way to Shreveport in the mid-eighties and developed a burden for the city. His heart is evangelism and his passion is getting the church outside the walls to connect with the needs of the city. Student ministries, outreach, restoration, and a revival in the church are all areas of focus for Eddie. He strives to make Life Church a place of excellence where people of all walks of Life can experience God!

Verla Hutchison

(Administrative / Receptionist)

Ms. Verla has been a constant member of the Life church staff for over 2 decades. She answers the phone, knows everything about anything. She helps do so much and keeps us all where we need to be, doing what we need to do. Her number one passion is ... the church! She loves making the church more effective to reach people, she loves seeing the church excel and grow. She loves the church and gives of her life every day to make it better. Ms. Verla is an inspiration to all of us here at Life Church.

Weston Weaver

(Youth Pastor)

Weston has grown up in Shreveport all his life. He has a heart and a passion for the youth and students of this city. Growing up in church, Weston has felt the calling into ministry for most of his life. Weston received an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from BPCC and also received an Associate’s Degree in Bible and a Bachelor’s Degree in Church Ministries from Southwestern A/G University. His desire is to see this younger generation reached for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God. His vision for the students here at Life Church is not to be just another ordinary youth group…but to be real, genuine and unique!
