Scott and Kara were married in 1981, and have two children Joshua and Brittany. Leaving professional careers in 1985, they set out on their journey of pastoral ministry. Scott and Kara have traveled the world; they taught school for 2 years in the Marshall Islands while living on Ebeye (a tiny dot in the Pacific Ocean) and planted churches for over 5 years in Siberia while living in Barnaul, Russia. Returning to Shreveport in 1998, they landed at Life church in 2000 to begin their “mission” work in this area.

Gary and Sheila were married in September of 1975 and have one daughter, Hannah. We came to the Lord in 1986 and began almost immediately serving in various volunteer positions. In 1996 we left behind over 22 years of oilfield experience to embark upon a new adventure, the ministry of Asst. Pastor at First Assembly in Thibodaux, La. We moved to Shreveport in June of 2000 and assumed the position of Asst. Director of Insight for Inmates, a ministry to inmates. In March of 2001 we became the Asst. Pastors of Life Church in Shreveport. In the summer of 2006 we launched Castaway Ministries which is a biblically based 2 year residency program for men and women when released from prison. We currently serve in all three roles.

I gave my life to Christ in Sept. of 1992 following 17 years of very little church expereince. I soon began helping in the youth group at First Assembly of God in Shreveport. I came to Life Church in 1997, and have seen many of the wonderful changes that God has done here. I married Jessica in Sept of 2004 and our first daughter, Jacey, was born in November of 2006. After serving for 10 years as the Youth Pastor, in 2006 I began serving as the Media/Creative arts director, one of our Freedom Counselors, and leading a College and Career age Life Group.

I am the wife of Joe Lewis and we have two sons; Joseph and Jordan. Before my ministry at Life church I had my life goals planned. I was going to work in the medical field and prosper. My family and friends were all that mattered. When I came to know Christ and His love for me, I could no longer be satisfied with only caring for those close to me. God gave me such a love and compassion for people that I have devoted my life to sharing the love of Christ with His children and their parent’s. I look forward to sharing God’s love with your family.

I grew up involved in youth ministry, my parents were Youth for Christ directors. At a young age I had the opportunity to lead teenagers not only in the States but also in Romania. Spending 3 years in Eastern Europe gave me a unique perspective on culture which has given me insight to so much of today's American teenage culture. My wife and I are ecstatic to be back in America and to be the youth pastors here at Life Church where our goal is to lead teenagers into the path of True Life.

I gave my life to Christ at the age of 15 in 1987. When I was 16, I was already preaching in different places in my country of Paraguay. In 1997, the Lord spoke clearly to me about where to start a new church. I married Olivia, a native Houstonian, whom I met during her short-term mission’s trip in my country. Together we pastored Centro Cristiano de Limpio (C.C.L.). In 2001, God gave us a beautiful and intelligent daughter, Diana. In June 2006, after pastoring for nine years and three months in C.C.L, the Lord called us to the US. In August 2007, we arrived in Shreveport, LA, where we are beginning a Spanish Ministry in Life Church. |
